Elaine Woo Piano Faculty

Ms. Elaine Woo has 15 years of teaching experience at her own studio and at the prestigious Mount Royal College Conservatory of Music specializing in piano and cello performance and early childhood music education.

 

Elaine Woo has achieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, Canada. In addition to her university degrees, Elaine studied the international A.R.C.T. piano music associate degree program with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. She has experience in teaching at music academies and studios in Calgary and San Francisco specializing in classical music and music theory to students of all ages. She attends educational seminars to further her pedagogy in piano and cello teaching in Canada and United States. She has competed in musical events such as the Kiwanis, APTA Calgary festivals and been placed in high rankings and has been claimed by adjudicators as highly talented and an expressive pianist.

 

Ms. Elaine strives to be different and make the learning experience fun and individualized for each student. She is certified to teach Suzuki piano and cello and is a Royal Conservatory of Music registered teacher and has 12 years of preparing students for national exams, competitions and master classes. Piano and cello music can be taught in all genres including classical, popular, jazz & blues and traditional.
