Little Mission Guitar Ensemble: Kids’ Class

Description:

Guitar ensemble for kids! The goal of Little Mission Guitar Ensemble is to introduce students to the unique challenges of ensemble playing (counting, listening, dynamics, playing with a conductor, etc.), and to expand their knowledge of guitar ensemble repertoire. In addition to learning repertoire, the class will include group activities to introduce and focus on these challenges. Depending on the number of students, the class will focus on a handful of large ensemble pieces, as well as duos/trios/quartets. Little Mission Guitar Ensemble will include an emphasis on sight reading, depending on the level of the students enrolled.

Previous Experience:

Students should have had at least 2 years prior guitar instruction, and be able to play at at least a Suzuki/ RCM level 2 (or equivalent method).

Final Performance:

Session 14 is the Class Showcase and will be combined with Little Mission Jam Band. Friends and Family welcome!

We offer our Ensemble Classes with tuition as pay-by-donation for everyone! This is our way of offering financial assistance to those who may need it with no questions asked. If possible, donating full class tuition helps keep us running as a small, independent, arts institution, as well as helps to offset tuition for anyone in need. Thank you!
 
Note: You may edit the amount you’d like to pay for tuition when you enroll directly in the enrollment form. Minimum donation amount of $100 per class, which is non-refundable.
