Andrej Markovich Piano Faculty

Andrej Markovich is a Serbo-Croatian pianist and piano mentor with 20 years of experience as a performer. Born in Belgrade into a fifth-generation family of professional musicians, Markovich continues a tradition of musical excellence.

 

He is a graduate and current master’s student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studies with Corey McVicar. Markovich has won over thirty international competitions and is a laureate of the Serbian Republic Piano Competition. His artistic development has been shaped through mentorship with pianists such as Yuja Wang, Sara Davis Buechner, & Natalia Trull.

 

Markovich has performed across Europe and the United States, both as a soloist and chamber musician. He has over eight years of teaching experience & focuses on helping students build confidence, technique, & individuality, drawing on the European classical tradition.
