Eduardo Rodriguez is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator originally from New York. Raised in a family of guitarists, he was immersed in music from an early age and picked up the instrument more than 18 years ago. What began as a family tradition eventually became his career, leading him to earn his Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music.

 

Eduardo studied with classical guitar mentors including Paul Carrol, David Leisner, Benjamin Verdery, and Eduardo Fernandez. This training gave him a strong foundation in technique and musicianship that continues to inform both his playing and teaching.

 

During his years on the East Coast, Eduardo performed and collaborated extensively with jazz ensembles, professional bands, and other musicians. His performance experience includes appearances at venues and festivals including Blue Note NYC, the Rochester International Jazz Festival, and the Kennedy Center.

 

Now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Eduardo brings his diverse performance background directly into the teaching studio. His approach is patient, adaptable, and centered on making music genuinely fun and intuitive to learn. He works with students of all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to musicians looking to deepen their technique, musicianship, and understanding of music.

 

From classical technique and jazz theory to improvisation and songwriting, Eduardo meets each student where they are and helps them build from there. He believes that learning an instrument should be both challenging and rewarding, giving students the skills, confidence, and curiosity to become independent musicians and, most importantly, to enjoy making music.
