Let’s write a musical! Our On Stage! Summer Camp will immerse your child in the creative process of creating a musical-themed showcase combining singing, acting, movement, and improv. Their week will be fun & fast-paced and will include small group and individual teaching with our team of instructors. With guidance, your child will help create their own musical through their own original ideas and contributions. The fun camp environment will encourage originality, creativity, and collaboration with their campmates. A brief placement audition is required for enrollment in On Stage! Summer Camp.

Family and friends are invited to attend the final showcase on Saturday, July 29th at 10:30 AM.

Safety Protocols: 

Mask requirements will be in accordance with studio policies at the time, and we will update you as we get closer to the summer.

Previous Experience:

No experience necessary.

Placement Audition:

A brief placement audition is required for enrollment in On Stage! Summer Camp. Auditions are only to help us gauge current ability and place students in groups appropriate for age and prior experience.

Audition Requirements:

Upon enrolling, students should submit an audition video containing:

• A brief introduction. (“Hi, I’m Bob! The piece I will be performing is . . .”)
• A performance of any musical theatre song you love. You may use a recorded piano accompaniment or backing track, but it is completely acceptable to sing without any piano or a backing track.
  • Please have your song memorized and feel free to act out what you are singing about. We want to see your musical theatre flair!
• Total length of your audition video should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
  • Video taken on a phone or mobile device is completely fine – nothing fancy. 😉
• Deadline for video submission: Monday, July 17th, 2023
  • Submit your video via email or cloud service (GoogleDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, etc.). 

*Students who have taken this camp before do not need to audition.

• Session 1 – Monday, July 24th, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Session 2 – Tuesday, July 25th, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Session 3 – Wednesday, July 26th, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Session 4 – Thursday, July 27th, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Session 5 – Friday, July 28th, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• *Session 6 – Saturday, July 29th, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Camp Showcase:

*Session 6 is the Final Showcase! Student drop-off and warm-ups start at 9:30 AM. Family and friends welcome to showcase starting at 10:30 AM!

This camp is appropriate for students entering Grades 3 and up. Students will be broken into appropriate age groups during camp.

Materials:

Students should bring each day: 

• A snack for our midday break. 
• A refillable water bottle. 

Extended Care:

There is no extended care available for this half-day camp.
