Description:

Let’s write a musical! Our On Stage! Summer Camp will immerse your child in the creative process of creating a musical-themed showcase combining singing, acting, movement, and improv. Their week will be fun & fast-paced and will include small group and individual teaching with our team of instructors. With guidance, your child will help create their own musical through their own original ideas and contributions. The fun camp environment will encourage originality, creativity, and collaboration with their campmates. A brief placement audition is required for enrollment in On Stage! Summer Camp.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend the final showcase on Saturday, June 25th at 10:30 AM.

Safety Protocols: 

In order to have safe and fun week, we’re requiring all Little Mission Camp Students to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. You will be asked to email us a scan/photo of your child’s vaccination card upon enrolling. Masks required in accordance with the most up-to-date local guidance from San Francisco DPH.

Placement Audition:

A brief placement audition is required for enrollment in On Stage! Summer Camp. Auditions are only to help us gauge current ability and place students in groups appropriate for age and prior experience.

Audition Requirements:

Upon enrolling, students should submit an audition video containing:

• A brief introduction. (“Hi, I’m Bob! The piece I will be performing is . . .”)
• A performance of any musical theatre song you love. You may use a recorded piano accompaniment or backing track, but it is completely acceptable to sing without any piano or a backing track.
  • Please have your song memorized and feel free to act out what you are singing about. We want to see your musical theatre flair!
• Total length of your audition video should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
  • Video taken on a phone or mobile device is completely fine – nothing fancy. 😉
• Deadline for video submission: Monday, June 13th, 2022
  • Submit your video via email or cloud service (GoogleDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, etc.). 

*Students who have taken this camp before do not need to audition.

June 20th – June 25th, 2022

• Session 1 – Monday, June 20th, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Session 2 – Tuesday, June 21st, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Session 3 – Wednesday, June 22nd, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Session 4 – Thursday, June 23rd, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Session 5 – Friday, June 24th, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• *Session 6 – Saturday, June 25th, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Camp Showcase:

*Session 6 is the Final Showcase! Student drop-off and warm-ups start at 9:30 AM. Family and friends welcome to showcase starting at 10:30 AM!

This camp is appropriate for students entering Grades 3 and up. Students will be broken into appropriate age groups during camp.

Materials:

Students should bring each day: 

• A snack for our midday break. 
• A refillable water bottle. 

Extended Care:

There is no extended care available for this half-day camp.
